Counselling
When trying to access counselling, many of us have been faced with a choice: sitting on an endless waiting list to receive just a few sessions or going down an unaffordable private route.
Working with women living in Tower Hamlets, our counselling service seeks to provide a third option: free, Trauma-Informed, gender-specific counselling.
Providing a safe non-judgemental space to explore thoughts and feelings, to learn more about oneself, and gain an understanding of behavioural patterns that may be holding us back.
Sessions
Counselling is a joint commitment between both counsellor and client and using a 24-session contracted model, our counsellors help you navigate your journey of self-discovery, helping you to understand your past and empowering you to move toward a positive future.
Our service provides tools for building a positive relationship with ourselves and with others and all our counsellors are governed by the BACP Ethical Framework. We work with numerous referral practices, including the Mission General Practice and are open to working with other referral partners in the borough.
If you would like to access our services, please contact the Mission General Practice or your local GP, to discuss your needs for counselling and take that gentle, first, positive step.
You can also volunteer in our Counselling service !
BACP membership is a requirement for Counselling volunteers.
