Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) – Part time
Location: Cygnet Hospital Sheffield
Salary: Experience dependant within NJC scale 19-22 , (FTE 25,481 – 27,041), Pro Rata at 3 days per week
Working hours: 22.5 hours per week
We are currently looking a part-time Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) to join our Advocacy Team. At WISH, we provide statutory advocacy and our own model of Gender Specific Advocacy to enable women and young people to address issues around treatment and care, and to support the process of self-advocacy.
Candidates should have experience of working:
- as an advocate;
- with women and/or girls as a principal client group;
- to empower individuals with complex needs.
We are a user-led organisation and encourage applicants with personal experience of using mental health services. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds as we are actively seeking to develop our team to better represent the diverse community we live and work in. We particularly welcome applications from people of the Global Majority, of Black heritage, of South, East and South-East Asian heritage and/or people who identify as LGBTQIA+.
